Obituary For Gail S. Minns

Gail S. Minns, 82, passed from this earth on 22 May 2021 after a series of illnesses and a wonderful and full life. Mrs. Minns was born in Worcester, Mass to Florence Hunt Peaslee and Sidney Charles Peaslee. Her formative years were spent in Athol and Petersham, Massachusetts. She graduated from Petersham High School. Her adult years were consumed tending to her family, studying, and working as a tax accessor and in all aspects of the Real Estate business. After relocating to Raleigh, NC, she became a founding partner of Wythe Properties Inc. and retired as President of Coldwell Banker, Wythe Advantage, Inc. She was a member of the Unitarian Church, Raleigh Board of Directors and various tax assessing organizations. In retirement she enjoyed family, friends, dogs, traveling, crossword puzzles, an occasionally visiting casinos playing slot machines, and golfing (she hit a hole in one at Myrtle Beach). She leaves her husband of 55 years, Richard; daughter, Shelley Kametler; son-in-law, Graham; grandson, Sean Kametler all of Wake Forest, NC; as well as a sister and brother-in-law; two nieces; and one nephew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Janice.

The family wishes to thank her primary care doctor, Charles Wehbie, as well as the many health and care professionals at Rex Hospital and Elsie's Place for their wonderful support and dedication to our loved one. The Celebration of Gail's Life will be held at Renaissance Funeral Home, 7615 Six Forks Road, Raleigh on June 19, 2021 at 1:00p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Wake County SPCA or Transitions Life Care Center in Raleigh, NC.
