Obituary For Chris Robert Yanik

Chris Robert Yanik, 62, of Fuquay-Varina, NC, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 9, 2020.

Chris was born in Owosso, Michigan to Frank Yanik Sr. and Elizabeth (Bette) Yanik on January 3, 1958. He attended Owosso High School in Owosso, MI and went on to study at Michigan State University.

Chris worked as a business solutions architect at Terra Tata and later a Prima. He received several awards and had many major achievements throughout his career. He had a great love for his family and loved participating in his grandchildren’s activities. He loved photography and taking pictures of nature and his grandson's little league baseball games which evolved into a business, seewhylife images.

He is survived by his wife, Lori Hebekeuser Yanik; his son and daughter-in-law; his daughter and son-in-law; six grandchildren;brothers, Frank (Jean) Yanik of South Haven, MI and Tim Yanik of Owosso, MI; and sister-in-law, Debbie Yanik of Gurnee, IL. Chris was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Greg Yanik.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Renaissance Funeral Home, 7615 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, North Carolina at 2 PM on Friday, August 14, 2020. **Please note, masks will be required for entry. Additionally, capacity is 50 persons as this time***

    Lori and family, I was so shocked to hear this news. He was a wonderful person. I really enjoyed face booking with him, seeing all the pictures and his silly jokes. He will surely be missed by all who knew him. Our prayers are for you and yours. Cousin Shari (Hill) Burdett

    I was truly heartbroken to hear that Chris had passed away. I enjoyed his silly laughs and pranks. He was our chauffeur at the last few class reunions and made sure we got back to our hotel safely. He will be missed. My condolences go out to his family and friends and may you find peace in your wonderful memories that you made with him.
