Obituary For Anne Shields Curto

Mrs. Anne Shields Curto, 86, of Littleton, North Carolina peacefully passed away on March 25, 2025. She was the daughter of Robert and Eileen Shields. Anne was born on June 29, 1938 in Buffalo, New York. She attended Holy Angels Academy and was a graduate of D’Youville University.

Anne was united in matrimony to Samuel Richard Curto on September 16, 1961. She was proceeded in death by her husband Sam and sister Ruth.

Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her brother, Robert Shields; and her children, Julia Lowe (Cliff) of Wake Forest, North Carolina and Emily Weatherford (Bryan) of Raleigh, North Carolina. Anne was a beloved grandmother to her four grandchildren Sam, Cate, Caroline and Lily. She remains a guiding inspiration to a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on April 10 at St. Francis of Assisi Church with visitation preceding at 10:00am.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Samaritian’s Purse and Wounded Warriors.

    My thoughts and prayers go out to each member of Anne's family. Anne was such a kind and sweet lady. She was always the same no matter where you saw her, whether it be in the grocery store or hosting a company party for Mr. Curto's company. I will always remember Anne as being so gracious and kind. I pray that you find comfort and love to get you through the difficult days ahead.
